Erdogan-Mitsotakis meeting/ After talks, traditional meal with meat and baklava

The meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was followed by an official dinner with many guests.  

The meal between the two leaders, which was served after the joint statements, made headlines in the regional media due to the rich menu with many traditional dishes.  

The meal began with artichokes with curry sauce, tulum cheese and butter, a plate of Imam Bajaldi eggplant, and cabbage with chestnuts.

The appetizers continued with piruhi with butter, walnut cheese, and Aegean greens, as well as a garden salad with lemon dressing.

Then, plates of beef fillet, accompanied by saffron and almond pilaf and grilled asparagus, were placed on the table. The menu also included urfa kebab and lamb ribs, as reported by Greek media.

The meal ended with a bitter almond and pineapple parfait and a variety of Turkish desserts, including baklava with walnuts and pistachios./CNA
