President Osmani appoints Kurti as prime minister-designate for the formation of the new government

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has mandated Prime Minister Albin Kurti as the prime minister to form the government of the Republic of Kosovo. In a reaction on social media, Osmani wished Kurti success in leading the new government.

Today, in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, I have appointed Prime Minister Albin Kurti as Prime Minister-designate for the formation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

I wish him success in leading the new Government and working in the service of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

We recall that the Assembly was constituted after the election by majority vote of Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker and the election of the Deputy Speakers. The five Deputy Speakers of the Assembly are Ardian Gola (LVV), Vlora Çitaku (PDK), Kujtim Shala (LDK), Slvako Simi? (Serbian List) and Emilia Rexhepi (Multiethnic Group). After the constitution of the Assembly, a session is expected to be held to form the new government. /CNA
