The constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly is held

The Kosovo Assembly is holding its constitutive session today, marking the first step towards the formation of new institutions. The session is being chaired by the oldest MP, Avni Dehari, from the Vetëvendosje Movement.

The agenda includes: the formation of the Temporary Committee for the verification of the quorum and mandates of the deputies, the swearing-in of the deputies, the election of the Speaker of the Assembly and the election of the Deputy Speakers of the Assembly.

After the establishment of the Committee for the Verification of the Mandates of Deputies, the session was adjourned to resume after 15 minutes.

The constitutive session was called by the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, after the end of the December 28 election process and the certification of the results. With the constitution of the Assembly, it is expected to continue with the formation of the new Government. /CNA
