Roundtable talks in Paris/ Zelensky meets with President Macron

This Wednesday, ahead of a summit on the Ukraine peace plan, the presidents of France and Ukraine will meet for talks at the Elysee Palace, followed by a working dinner.

Their discussion will focus on strengthening France's military and financial support for Ukraine.

The Elysee Palace announced that Emmanuel Macron will host his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky this Wednesday evening, March 26, to prepare a summit in Paris of the Coalition of countries ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.

In recent weeks, Zelensky and Macron have been in close contact, with the Ukrainian leader saying they speak almost every day.

Macron has emphasized finalizing short-term military aid, securing long-term defense commitments, and coordinating European security guarantees.

"The Head of State will once again reaffirm to President Zelensky France's continued military and financial support for Ukraine as its top priority," the statement said.

It is noted that the two leaders will make press statements on the eve of the bilateral meeting. Afterwards, they will hold a working dinner. /CNA
