The Republican candidate for president of the USA, Donald Trump, has reacted to the name for vice president, which his rival, a Democrat, proposed today. Trump called him a "dangerous extremist."

Trump staff spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt said:

"He is a dangerous liberal extremist and the vision of Harris and Walsh is every American's nightmare," Trump's staff spokeswoman said.
