The international media have written about the names that the newly elected President of the USA, Donald Trump, has identified for the position of Secretary of State.

Among the 3 names that are floating around in the media is that of his former director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell.

Grenell is joined on the list by Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

Rubio is a foreign policy hawk and was an early supporter of military aid to Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. However, he voted against a $95 billion foreign aid bill in April, which included about $60 billion for Kiev, and declared on Wednesday that the conflict had reached an "impasse" and "a conclusion must be reached."
