Pyramid scheme and illegal gambling/ Bar raided in Mitrovica, 1 arrested

A person was arrested this Wednesday evening in Mitrovica, suspected of the criminal offense of 'Organization of pyramid schemes and illegal gambling'.

Under the well-founded suspicion of suspicious activities, police units in South Mitrovica, in the evening hours of today on "Evlia Qelebia" street, have carried out a raid on a premises where illegal activity was taking place.

During the search, several people were found inside the premises, while various tools used for games of chance and gambling were found and seized as material evidence.

The seized items will serve as material evidence and have been processed in the case in question.

Regarding the case, the owner of the premises was questioned as a suspect and was placed under police detention by the prosecutor's decision.

An investigation has been launched against the suspect on suspicion of committing a criminal offense. /CNA
