Rutte: Kiev's allies must help until the war with Russia is over

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said today from Brussels that Western allies must provide daily military, financial and humanitarian support to Ukraine until the war with Russia ends.

"There can be no real peace in Europe without real peace in Ukraine. It is now imperative that allied countries ensure that Ukraine receives the support it needs to defend itself against Russian aggression and to hold the battlefronts," Rutte said.

Rutte stressed that a promise of aid alone is not enough to end the war, as Ukraine needs ammunition today and every day until the bloodshed stops.

In his speech, Rutte also underlined the importance of the future peace being sustainable, including strong Ukrainian military strength and security guarantees from partners./ CNA
