The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office has submitted an indictment to the Basic Court in Pristina against two individuals, who are suspected of threatening the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
The prosecution has identified the suspects with the initials, FK and NS.
According to her, they are suspected of having published threatening posts against Kurti on their Facebook accounts in 2023.
Faton Klinaku from the Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans Organization wrote on Facebook that neither he nor his lawyer have been informed that an indictment has been filed against him, but added that he is "looking forward" to facing Kurti in court.
The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office said that on August 30, 2023, FK had repeated a post with threatening content against Kurti, which stated: "... I'm repeating it again, if you find the previous post scandalous: I'd rather kill AK than let him go and leave Kosovo."
Meanwhile, NS, according to the Prosecution, threatened to kill Kurti through posts made on Facebook, due to his function as prime minister, referring to FK's threatening post.
According to the Criminal Code of Kosovo, anyone who aims to prevent senior representatives of Kosovo from performing their duties through violence or intimidation can be sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison./ Rel
