For the first time since the start of the war/ Serbian President Vučić visits Ukraine today

Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i? will visit Ukraine today, June 11, for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, UNN reports, citing the Serbian President's administration.

This will be Vu?i?'s first visit to Ukraine since the start of the full Russian occupation in February 2022.

In a statement, Vucic's office said he would travel to Ukraine to attend the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit in the Black Sea port of Odessa, which this week faced a major Russian attack with drones and missiles.

Senior politicians from 12 Southeast European countries were expected to attend the summit.

Vu?i? has previously met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at least three times.

The only Serbian president to visit Ukraine since the Balkan country became independent in 2006 was Boris Tadic in 2011. Ukraine's previous president, Petro Poroshenko, visited Serbia in 2018.
