Russian drone attack/ 2 killed and 60 injured in Kharkiv

At least two people were killed and 60 others injured in Kharkiv after Russian forces launched a major drone attack across Ukraine overnight Wednesday, Ukrainian officials said.

"Seventeen attacks by enemy UAVs were carried out in just 10 minutes in two districts of the city tonight," said Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.

More than 15 apartments were engulfed in flames in a five-story building and several homes were hit.

The attacks caused widespread destruction in the Slobidskyi and Osnovianskyi neighborhoods of Kharkiv, hitting apartment buildings, private homes, playgrounds, industrial sites, and public transportation.

Emergency crews, city employees, and volunteers worked throughout the night to put out the fires, rescue residents from burning homes, and restore gas, electricity, and water services to the area.
