The head of the Iranian negotiating team in talks with Washington and re-elected speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bayer Ghalibaf, today shared a warning to the United States.
Through a post on the 'X' platform, Ghalibaf expressed his views on the situation in threatening tones.
"The US naval blockade and the escalation of war crimes in Lebanon by Israel are clear evidence of the US failure to respect the ceasefire. Every choice has its price and the bill comes in the end. Everything will be resolved," Ghalibar writes.
The recent standoff between the two countries appears to be continuing to heighten tensions between the US and Iran, while there is still talk of a ceasefire.
At the same time, Tehran reiterated that implementing a ceasefire in Lebanon is a prerequisite for any agreement with the US to end the war in the Middle East. /CNA
