The serious event in Germany, the authorities: The possibility of a terrorist

Officials in Germany have stated that they cannot rule out terrorist motives in connection with the knife attack at a festival, where three people were killed and eight others were injured, four of whom are in serious condition.

Regarding the serious incident, the police were able to handcuff a 15-year-old as a suspected perpetrator.

Police and prosecutors said at a press conference Saturday afternoon that they are investigating the possibility that the teenager may have spoken to the attacker.

The young man allegedly knew about the attack in advance and did not report it to the police.

He was arrested this morning after two women reported hearing a conversation between the 15-year-old and someone else discussing the attack.

Prosecutor Markus Caspers said that the authorities are still looking for motives and looking for a male perpetrator.

There is no clear link between the people who were attacked and the perpetrator, authorities said, adding to suspicions of a terrorist attack. /CNA
