It happens in the middle of the conference/ Zelensky hangs up on President Macron

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was holding a press conference in Kiev when he was interrupted by a phone call from none other than his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

Pausing the conference to answer his phone, the Ukrainian President said:

'Excuse me, Emmanuel... I'm just having a chat with some journalists. Can I call you for a few minutes, 15-20 minutes? Please, thank you, Emmanuel.'

Moments later, Zelensky told reporters that they have a close relationship.

 "We have close relations between our countries. He helps a lot. I am very grateful to him," Zelensky said.

"I will call him again after our conversation," Zelensky said, adding that he speaks with Macron on average once a day./CNA
