A few days ago, the world experienced a massive outage of computer systems causing chaos in airports, the media, the health system and others. According to Microsoft everything is resolved.

The firm said preliminary investigations indicate the outage was caused by a cyber attack and a failure to properly protect against it.

Earlier, the company apologized for the incident, which lasted almost 10 hours and caused thousands of users to report problems with Microsoft services.

It comes less than two weeks after a major global outage "froze" about 8.5 million computers running Microsoft systems, affecting healthcare and travel, after a botched software update by cybersecurity firm CroëdStrike./ CNA
