Iranian Foreign Minister: US and Iran are exchanging messages, but not

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Qatar's Al Jazeera news agency that what is happening now is not a negotiation, but an exchange of messages directly or through Iran's friends in the region.

Araghchi said he receives messages from US special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, directly as before, but that does not mean we are negotiating.

Araghchi also said that Iran has not responded to the US 15-point plan. This comes despite a report by the Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, citing an informed source on March 26 that Iran had responded to the plan with its own terms.

"Iran's conditions for ending the war are clear," Aragchi said, insisting that Iran wants to ensure there will be no recurrence of attacks and that it will receive compensation for losses caused by the conflict.
