US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated today that US objectives in Iran have not changed since the attacks began on February 28.
He stressed that the main goals are to destroy Iran's missile launchers, strike Iran's military industry, weaken Iran's naval fleet, and prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
According to the Pentagon, so far about 7,000 targets in Iran have been hit, while over 40 Iranian ships and 11 submarines have been attacked.
Hegseth stressed that the objectives are the same as the first day, while explaining that there is no set deadline for the completion of the operation in Iran and that the decision to end it will be made by the president./ CNA
