Constitution of the Kosovo Assembly/ Kurti "challenges" MPs: Those who don't believe I have 61 votes, to test me

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in an interview with RTK, said that those MPs who do not believe that he has the 61 votes to become prime minister should test it.

Kurti invited the MPs who emerged from the February 9 elections to vote for Albulena Haxhiu's candidacy for Speaker of Parliament and then test her with a vote of confidence.

" Now my colleagues in the Assembly of the Republic who lead their subjects, they do not believe that I have 61 votes for prime minister. I tell them, test me. If they believe that Albin Kurti does not have 61 votes of deputies to become prime minister, it is up to them to test me again. Let them vote for Albulena and let them test me, if I fail, that would be a victory for them. It is not a victory by blocking the assembly and making the quorum impossible ," Kurti said./ CNA
