Iran resumes international flights after 20-day suspension over conflict with

Iran's Imam Khomeini International Airport has welcomed the first foreign flight since the resumption of international air travel after a 20-day suspension, local media reported on Friday.

According to Student News Network, Mehdi Ramezani, spokesman for the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, confirmed that the Flydubai flight from the United Arab Emirates landed in Tehran, following extensive diplomatic and security coordination.

The landing marks a new phase of stability for Iran's aviation sector, Ramezani said, following a recent 12-day conflict with Israel.

He added that this represented a return to the calm and intelligent management of the country's airspace.

International flights will gradually resume to specific destinations in coordination with authorities, to meet public needs and restore air connectivity. /CNA
