Outraged by Israeli advances in Lebanon, Iran is suspending indirect talks with the United States on a resolution to the conflict, the Iranian Tasnim news agency, which is close to the Revolutionary Guard, reported.

Iran appears to have suspended indirect negotiations with the US on ending the war in the Persian Gulf region, the Tasnim news agency, which is considered the mouthpiece of the Revolutionary Guards, said. The decision, it said, was made due to Israel's "continuous crimes" in Lebanon. According to the agency, talks to end the three-month war with Iran will only resume when Tehran's demands are met. These include an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, as well as Israel's complete withdrawal from occupied territories in Lebanon.

Iran threatens to open new fronts

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on the X platform: "A breach of the ceasefire on one front is a breach on all fronts." The US and Israel are responsible for the consequences, he declared, referring to Israeli operations in Lebanon.

According to Tasnim, Iran and its allied so-called "resistance front" - which includes Shiite groups in Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq - have drawn up plans to completely block the Strait of Hormuz. In addition, they are threatening attacks on the Bab al-Mandab Strait near the Yemeni coast. Through this strait, ships pass on their way to the Suez Canal.

US and Iran report new attacks

The US and Iran reported new attacks despite a ceasefire currently in effect. The US military said it had struck radar and drone control systems in southern Iran over the weekend. The "self-defensive strikes" were directed against the city of Goruk and Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz, the US regional command for the Gulf region, Centcom, announced on platform X. According to it, these attacks were carried out in response to "aggressive" actions by Iran, including the destruction of a US drone over international waters.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had attacked a base used by the US military for attacks against Iran. The location of this base was not disclosed in the statement distributed by Iranian state media.

Kuwait announced earlier that its air defenses had intercepted "hostile missiles and drones." The state-run Kuna news agency reported that air raid sirens were activated. US soldiers are stationed in the Gulf state of Kuwait.
