Iran confirms missile attacks on US al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has officially confirmed that it launched a retaliatory missile attack targeting the US al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reports.

Iran's Tasnim news agency says it has launched a missile operation targeting US bases in Qatar and Iraq.

The operation, according to her, is called "Declaration of Victory".

The 24-hectare Al Udeid Air Base, located southwest of the capital Doha, is the main headquarters of US Central Command.

CENTCOM directs American military operations across a vast area of ??territory stretching from Egypt in the west to Kazakhstan in the east.

Established through a defense cooperation agreement in 1996, it is the largest US base in the Middle East and houses about 10,000 troops./CNA
