Israel attacks six airports in Iran, hits 15 warplanes

The Israeli military announced that defense forces attacked six airports in western, eastern and central Iran on Monday morning.

The military added that the attacks caused damage to airstrips, underground bunkers, a refueling plane and fighter jets, including F-14, F-5 and AH-1, which belong to the Iranian regime.

The IDF also stated that the attacks were carried out to strengthen dominance over Iranian airspace and that the aircraft hit were intended to be used against Israel.

Additionally, over 15 Israeli Air Force fighter jets targeted surface-to-surface missile launch and storage sites in the Kermanshah area, located in western Iran, the military said.

The military added that the surface-to-surface missile launch and storage sites were aimed at Israeli terrorism.

This round of attacks came after the IDF stated earlier Monday morning that the IAF was carrying out strikes on military infrastructure sites in the Kermanshah area of ??western Iran.

Following the announcement of the attacks, an Iranian Air Force remotely piloted aircraft crashed in Iranian territory, the IDF confirmed./ CNA
