New missile attack in Iran's Bushehr province

Iranian media previously reported that a massive explosion was heard on Sunday in Bushehr province, home to Iran's only nuclear power plant, hours after the US bombed nuclear sites across the country.

The Shargh news agency reported the explosion, while the Fars agency said two locations in the city were attacked by Israel. Iranian news agencies also reported attacks in Yazd province.

The UN nuclear watchdog warned the day before that striking the Bushehr plant would cause a "very high release of radioactivity."

The Israeli military said its warplanes had struck dozens of targets across Iran on Sunday, including a long-range missile base in Yazd, in the center of the country, for the first time.

A statement said about 30 IAF (Air Force) fighter jets struck dozens of military targets across Iran, including the "Imam Hussein Strategic Missile Command Center" in the Yazd area, where long-range Khorramshahr missiles were stored. /CNA
