Iran describes the deployment of American bombers as "destabilizing".

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Emaeil Baghaei criticized what he called the "destabilizing presence" of the United States following the deployment of B-52 bombers in the region.

"We have always believed that America's presence in the region is a destabilizing presence," Baghaei said during a media conference when asked about the deployment. He added that this presence "will not hinder Iran's determination to defend itself".

Over the weekend, the US military announced the deployment of B-52 bombers to the Middle East as a warning to Iran, which has vowed to respond to strikes Israel carried out on Iranian targets on October 26.

Israel's attack was in retaliation for a barrage of missiles and drones that Iran fired at Israel on October 1. This Iranian attack was also retaliatory, as military leaders of Iran-backed groups and a commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had been killed in Damascus, Syria.

At least four soldiers were killed during Israel's attack on Iran, and Tehran said the attack caused "limited damage".

Baghaei said that Iran's response will be "decisive".

He said Iran "supports all initiatives and efforts" to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, where Israel is fighting two groups backed by Tehran.

He said that Iran's position against the change of Western doctrine and the production of nuclear weapons remains the same.

Citing the recent speech of the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Baghaei said that the Islamic Republic will "equip itself with everything it needs to defend itself"./REL
