Spanish king faces angry mobs in flood zone

Spain's King Felipe VI was confronted by angry protesters as he visited the Valencia region, which has seen unprecedented flooding in recent days.

In some footage, residents of the area were heard shouting "murderer" and "shame" and threw mud at the king, who was asked why nothing was done to prevent the tragedy.

Spain's worst floods in decades have left entire neighborhoods covered in mud and dozens of cars rolled on top of each other.

More than 200 people have died as a result of the floods and there are still people missing.

Search and rescue teams are trying to find any survivors.

Residents are extremely angry at what they say is a lack of proper warning and support from the authorities after the floods.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia have visited Paiporta, one of the worst affected towns.

On Saturday, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez ordered the deployment of 10,000 additional soldiers and police to the flood-affected area.

He has said that this is the largest military engagement in Spain in peacetime.
