The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has asked the Kosovo State Prosecutor's Office to publish the results of the investigations related to the September 24 terrorist attack in Banjska.

During a television interview, Svechla stated that there is enough evidence for the investigation to be concluded at this stage.

"The Kosovo Police has undertaken the biggest investigations in its history, in the case of Banjska, in the terrorist attack in the village of Bansjka. This has taken some time, but I believe we have enough evidence to close the investigation at this stage. I expect that the Prosecutor's Office together with the Kosovo Police will come out with the results of these investigations", said Sveçla to RTV Dukagjini.

Likewise, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has requested the publication of the results achieved after the investigation.

"There is no information from the Government of Kosovo, from the institutions regarding the terrorist attack in Banjska, that has not been given to the State Prosecutor's Office. Today it has been 3 months since the order was announced for the terrorist attack that killed the hero Afrim Bunjaku. 3 months when the order was announced and this information is already in the prosecutor's office. There are countless facts and material evidence that are the most sufficient to bring the indictments for the attack in Banjska. Overall, last year was a year of paramilitary barricades and trenches. This year was the year of terrorist and paramilitary attacks", Kurti declared in December. There is a huge discrepancy between information, facts, evidence and arguments on one side and indictments and court proceedings on the other. As a result of the people who are behind bars. It is mino number. And this gap cannot be filled by the Government of Kosovo, it belongs to the State Prosecutor's Office. Therefore, the question should be the State Prosecutor's Office. I'm here to help, but they're there to work. I can't help someone who doesn't work. I can only help someone who works", said Kurti.

The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo, Blerim Isufaj, responded to Kurti's criticisms, saying that it is not a matter for the Prime Minister when the indictments were filed and when the investigations stop.

The attack in Banjské took place on September 24 in the village of Banjské in Zveçan. During the attack, the police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, and three of the aggressors were killed./ CNA
