Greece votes/ This is the participation so far in the local elections

Four months after the parliamentary elections, Greek citizens went to the ballot boxes again this Sunday in over 22,000 centers, this time to elect local government representatives. 

Until 11:30 am, a total of 1,047,027 citizens have voted in the municipal elections of 2023, according to data from 75% of the voting centers, announced the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Theodoris Livanios. 

The highest voter turnout for the 2023 municipal elections has so far been recorded in Central Greece, where it stands at 18%. 

On the contrary, the lowest percentage of participation in the municipal and regional elections of 2023 has been recorded so far in Attica, with 12%. 

Voters started going to the polling stations from 07:00 in the morning and the process is expected to continue until 19:00./ CNA
