Amit Soussana is one of the Israeli hostages who confessed to being sexually abused by a person belonging to the Hamas group.
She claimed that a guard, who she says identified himself only as Muhammad, pointed a gun at her and forced her to have sex with him.
Ms. Soussana, 40, told the New York Times that she was sexually assaulted, beaten and tortured while held in Gaza for 55 days.
Hamas spokesman Basem Naim, in a statement to the newspaper, said it was 'hard to believe' Ms Soussana's account of sexual abuse and added that 'for us, the human body and especially that of a woman is sacred'.
The terrorist group has for months denied that its members sexually abused the hostages or during the October 7 attack.
However, a United Nations (UN) report published this month said there was 'clear and convincing information' that some hostages had been sexually abused.
Soussana was kidnapped from her home during the October 7 raid, beaten and dragged into Gaza by a group of at least seven gunmen.
While in captivity, she said she was kept alone in a child's bedroom and chained by her left wrist. She claims that just days after she was taken hostage, Muhammad began asking her about her sex life and menstrual cycle. She claims he removed the chain, took her to the bathroom and ordered her to wash.
Soussana confesses that the person holding the gun was watching her while she was bathing.
Soussana said she tried to cover herself with a hand towel, but Muhammad walked up to her and hit her.
"He sat me next to the bathroom. I closed my legs. I resisted. He continued to punch me and put the gun in my face. Then he dragged me into the bedroom," she confessed.
She claims that while she was in the bedroom, Mohammed forced her to perform a sexual act on him, before leaving her naked, sitting in the dark and crying on the bed.
She reported the alleged assault and other violence to two doctors and a social worker less than 24 hours after being released from captivity, according to the Times./ CNA
