Turkish police have arrested 147 suspected Islamic State (IS) extremists in operations conducted in 30 cities and provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said.
Yerlikaya said on March 26 that another 40 IS suspects were arrested on Sunday.
The arrests come as IS claimed responsibility for an attack on a concert hall in Moscow, Russia, a few days ago.
Turkey has recently stepped up operations against suspected IS members. This country has in the past faced several deadly terrorist attacks linked to the extremist group.
Ankara has blamed IS for an attack on a Catholic church in Istanbul at the end of January, where one person was killed./ REL
