Bridge collapses in the USA/ 7 people and vehicles fall into the river

A bridge in the city of Baltimore in the US has collapsed over the Patapsco River after being hit by a container ship.

According to the Baltimore City Fire Department, seven people are currently on the scene and several cars have fallen into the river.

The fire department has stated that a large vessel struck a bridge column.

No casualties have been reported and a major rescue and recovery operation is underway./ CNA
