We will establish a new Prosecutor's Office/ Kurti: From 141.6 million
Prime Minister and leader of LVV, Albin Kurti

Prime Minister and LVV leader Albin Kurti held a meeting in Istog in the context of the elections, which Kosovo will hold on February 9. Kurti said that during his government, the country's economy has grown. He said that when he came to power in 2020, he found 141.6 million euros in debt to private sector economic operators. According to him, the debt has decreased and is currently 33 million euros.

"In 2020, the previous government left unpaid debts of 141.6 million euros to economic operators in the private sector of the Republic of Kosovo. 141.6 million euros, the state, due to poor governance, owed the private sector. And do you know how much 141.6 million euros is that the state with those former governments owed to the private sector of entrepreneurs in Kosovo? As much as the combined budget of: Istog, Podujevo, Gjilan, Shtime, Junik, Kamenica and Hani i Elezit taken together. That's how much debt the former government owes to our entrepreneurs who have the main burden of employing citizens. And now, and now, after less than four years of governance, with us this debt has fallen to 33 million euros, or less than the budget of the municipality of Gjakova."

Kurti committed to the creation of a new prosecution with the argument that the prosecution body has not helped the state to fight organized crime and the war against Serbian structures. This prosecution is not like Kosovo's. Kosovo does not need such a prosecution. This prosecution needs a new Kosovo prosecution that comes after our new victory for our new governing mandate in the Republic of Kosovo.

"You have seen that the heads of the prosecution are not supporting us in fighting organized crime and are also hindering us in fighting the structures of Serbia. This prosecution is not like Kosovo's. Kosovo does not need this prosecution. This prosecution needs a new Kosovo prosecution that comes after our new victory for our new governing mandate in the Republic of Kosovo."

Kurti expressed his belief that VV will win the parliamentary elections on February 9. We recall that the ending mandate of the Kurti government was the first to be fully implemented since the declaration of independence. /CNA
