Ceasefire agreement fails to stop bombings/20 killed in Gaza

The leader of the opposition party in Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, was physically attacked in the hotel he was staying in. Gakharia was forced to go to the hospital for first aid, and it was later learned that he had broken his nose.
His party stressed that this situation is related to Gakharia's mission in the opposition, while adding that the other side, that is, the one in power, seeks to intimidate the opposition. We recall that Gakharia also has a past as prime minister of Georgia, while the country is currently going through a difficult period with the ruling party that, after winning the elections in late October 2024, is determined not to continue negotiations to get closer to Europe.
Massive protests have erupted in Georgia, with Gakharia leading the way. On the other hand, the ruling party accused Gakharia of the attack being a mere set-up to incite further protests and send the country into total chaos. /CNA
