"It will be under our control"/ Trump, convinced about Greenland: Denmark should not become hostile

President Donald Trump is not backing down on the autonomous island of Greenland in Denmark. Although Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen made it clear to Trump in a phone call that the island of 57,000 people is not for sale, Trump still said that Greenland will be a territory that will be controlled by America.

"I think that territory will be under our control, that's what the inhabitants of that island want. I don't know what Denmark claims, but it wouldn't be friendly to prevent us because this action of ours on Greenland is for the good of the free world."

"It's not so much about the United States of America, but about the freedom that we defend like no other," Trump said. /CNA
