TikTok CEO: I don't allow my minor children to use the app

A viral game on the social network "TikTok" that is endangering the lives of children in Kosovo, has turned attention from the statements made a year ago by the CEO of "TikTok", Shou Zi Cheë.

In March 2023, the chief executive of "TikTok" said during his testimony in the US Congress that children should not use social networks.

He stated that he does not allow his minor children, aged 6 and 8, to use "TikTok", stressing that they are too young to use social networks.

Meanwhile, in the interviews he has done for the media, Shou Zi Cheë stated that for teenagers "TikTok" is more limited in the content it suggests.

He pointed out that parents seem to supervise teenagers while using the app.

“My kids live in Singapore and in Singapore we are not allowed under 13 law, if they lived here in the United States I would let them use the under 13 version.
