Biden pardons thousands of people convicted of recreational marijuana use

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has pardoned dozens of convicts for possession of small amounts of marijuana on this holiday eve.  

The president has pardoned these people in those states where it has not been legalized for recreational or medical purposes.

According to the White House, with this decision, the promise of equal justice for the correction of racial inequalities in the justice system becomes a reality.

“Criminal records for the use and possession of marijuana are becoming a barrier to employment, housing and educational opportunities. Many lives have been hindered by our wrong approach to marijuana. It's time to correct it," said the head of the White House.
