Father Mondi recalls meetings with the Pope: He valued religious coexistence

The head of the World Patriarchate of Bektashis, Baba Mondi from the Vatican Embassy in Tirana, has expressed condolences on the passing of Pope Francis.

He recalled meetings with the Holy Father and said that he valued religious coexistence.

" With great love, he appreciated the work we do for fraternal coexistence and the Albanian youth returned to faith immediately after the return of democracy. He appreciated our work that we demonstrated in Charlie Hebdo, that we showed that united we live, not just to kill each other. Even in the second meeting, we signed the Abu Dhabi agreement. Even though he was in a serious condition, he welcomed us.
I offer my condolences to the clergy and Catholic believers. May God bless him for the work he has done and may his work be continued by his successor. May he rest in peace. I will participate in the ceremony of accompanying him to his final resting place ," he said./ CNA
