Israeli airstrikes, carried out overnight, have killed at least 19 people. Among the victims are a woman and her six children.

The Israeli attacks include an attack in the early hours of Sunday on a house in the town of Deir al-Balah, where a woman and her six children were killed, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Meanwhile, an airstrike in the town of Jabaliya hit two homes, killing two men, a woman and her daughter, the Health Ministry in Gaza, led by Hamas, the Palestinian group designated a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union, said.

Another attack near the southern city of Han Yunis killed four members of a family, including two women, according to Naser Hospital.

These attacks were carried out, as on Sunday, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, is expected to stay in Israel, where he will meet with senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Blinken's visit is part of Washington's efforts to help the parties overcome their differences to reach a ceasefire agreement. Earlier in the week, two days of talks were held in Doha to reach a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages. American officials have expressed optimism about reaching a pact that would stop ten months of fighting between Israel and Hamas.

The war between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, after Palestinian radicals attacked southern Israel, killing nearly 1,200 people and kidnapping nearly 250 others.
