The Albanian Development Fund re-announced this Wednesday the procedure with the objective of "Support for the establishment of integrated rural development poles in partnership with local self-government units and other local and central actors: "Apple Knowledge and Argotourism Farm, Korça - Phase 1".

This is the same procedure opened earlier on May 14 and then canceled under the argument that no suitable offer was submitted in the first phase.

This time the procedure will remain open for bid submission until July 11 and the limit fund has remained the same at a value of 234.4 million lek or about 2.4 million euros.

Specifically, the knowledge farm and apple agrotourism planned near the village of Qatrom in Korça aim to combine plots, a hospitality center, and an infopoint into one integrated whole.

There are four types of plots that will be part of the farm, such as intensive, super intensive, semi-intensive and traditional plots. Also, a parking lot will be built as part of the project. According to the architectural report, the farm is intended to have an anti-hail system.

The Support System and the Anti-Hail System are the two main systems in the plot area, while the way they function is described in the agronomist's report accompanying the procedure. The project foresees an event area. "The latter is considered one of the most special areas of this project.

"The intervention of a different vegetation from that of the plots invites events with different themes to take place in an area. In the event area, depending on the theme of the organization, temporary structures will be placed such as: tents, tables + chairs, booths offering drinks or ready meals," the report states.

Another integrated part will be the Hospitality Center which is specifically represented by: Info-Point. This structure is located in the services area which is the first connecting and informative point regarding the Knowledge Farm./ Monitor Magazine
