Fires in Lezha/ Authorities increase monitoring

Two fires recorded in recent days in the Lezha region have raised concerns among local authorities, drawing attention to the risk of spreading flames during the summer season.

The most problematic case was recorded in Shëngjin, where the fire was brought under control thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighting structures, avoiding consequences for residents and the environment.

Due to high temperatures and an increased influx of visitors, authorities have intensified monitoring, especially in coastal areas, which are considered most at risk during the summer months.

According to official data, over 330 fire cases were recorded in Lezha last year, with most of them caused by human negligence.

Responsible institutions call on citizens and vacationers to exercise maximum caution to avoid starting fires, while controls and monitoring will continue throughout the tourist season.
