Murder of Martin Cani/ Appeal postpones decision on perpetrator

The Court of Appeals has postponed the verdict for Mario Përlleshaj, the accused perpetrator of the murder of Martin Can.

It is learned that the decision was postponed due to the absence of one of the members of the judicial body.

The Tirana Prosecution Office filed a complaint against the juvenile perpetrator on November 17 of last year, requesting his sentence of 25 years in prison for the criminal offense of "murder in qualifying circumstances against two or more persons."

Since November 2024, the author has been held in the juvenile institution in Kavaja.

The serious incident occurred near the "Fan Noli" school in Tirana on November 18, 2024, where as a result of the fight between minors, the perpetrator himself was injured. /CNA
