Against construction in Zvërnec/ Protest in front of the municipality in Durres

A protest is taking place today in the square in front of the municipality in the city of Durrës against construction in Zvërnec. Meanwhile, protests have been continuing for three days in the capital, with the next one expected to be held today at 6:00 PM.

The protests were called after the events that occurred on May 30 in Zvërnec, where there were clashes between citizens and employees of a private security company.

Regarding this issue, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the events that occurred there were serious, while condemning the violence against the protesters.

Among other things, he emphasized that such large investments are for the good of the country and increase the Gross National Product.  /CNA
