The Secretary of the Socialist Party for Relations with Women, Etilda Gjonaj, has stated that in the local elections of 2023 they will increase the number of women as candidates for mayor but also in the Municipal Councils.
In an interview at 'Studio Live', Gjonaj said that she is sure that all the municipalities will win, stressing that they are not afraid of the Sali Berisha-Ilir Meta alliance.
"We have started preparations as it is normal that every major party, when it wins the elections, prepares for the next elections. Among the main focuses is to increase the number of women not only as candidates for mayor, but also to have municipal councilors with a quota determined by the electoral code, who are professionals, represent the area, enjoy respect and integrity in the area they are running. (...) We enter an election to win it all, no one enters the race to lose. We entered to take all the municipalities", said Gjonaj./ CNA.al
