The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has spoken about the representation of this political force in the elections to be held for the mayor of Kuka.

In a statement to the media, he said that the aim of PL was to confront this current government and not to take over the municipalities.

Regarding Kukësi, he said that it is an opportunity for Kukësi to restore his dignity

Will you support a Democratic Party candidate in Kukes?

"After no discussion, we will support the candidate selected by the Democratic Party and all its allies. Regarding the local elections, the certification of the May 14 electoral massacre has become clear. The party in power had become one with the state, with crime, with the police against Albanian citizens."

You, as the Freedom Party, do not have any claim to any of your candidates?

"We have no claims for any candidate for the Municipality of Kukës and we have not had any insistence on all municipalities. Our goal is to stand up to this government. It is the opportunity for Kukësi to restore his dignity damaged by the manipulation of the May 14 elections."

How will you be organized in the political action in September?

"This is a technical issue. Our MPs have been the target of determined opposition positions by cooperating with all those who are in front of the government. There will be an internsification of all our elected officials in the Municipal Councils."/ CNA
