By-elections/ State Police presents plan of measures

In order to guarantee public order and security, safeguard electoral facilities (CEAZ, VC and BCC), as well as prevent, identify and crack down on electoral crimes, in implementation of the obligations arising from the law "On State Police", the General Directorate of State Police drafted a detailed plan of measures for implementation by local structures where partial elections will be held.

In the 5 municipalities where the elections will be held, the State Police has taken custody of 9 electoral buildings where the CEAZ commissions are located and on Saturday will take custody of 473 buildings that will serve as voting centers.

The list of 612 police officers and police vehicles that will be engaged in guarding election facilities and escorting materials has been sent to the CEC and approved.

Police services that are scheduled to guard the facilities that will serve as voting centers will be instructed on Saturday morning and will then be distributed to the centers where they are scheduled to serve.

On Sunday, which is the final day, with the handover in the morning of the facilities that serve as voting centers, Police officers will withdraw to the designated collection points and will return to escort the election materials to the CEAZs at 7:00 PM.

During voting day, if there are requests for Police intervention from polling center commissions, coordinators, CEAZs or the CEC, in accordance with the Electoral Code, the Police have left points of contact with the commissions and will act in a timely manner, in accordance with legal provisions.

On 09.11.2025, at 18:00, the Police services will take custody of all BCC facilities where the vote counting will take place and the service will continue until the end of the entire process.

All measures have been taken to ensure that every police station and directorate, in whose territory elections will be held, has groups ready to act on the ground, if necessary.

All these employees are trained and approved by the CEC, and will be equipped with identification tools and Police vests. The special investigative structures of the State Police, established to investigate electoral crimes, are on the ground, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, to identify and crack down on any attempt to alienate votes through buying and selling or other forms.

Also, a coordination and management group for the electoral process has been established at the General Directorate of the State Police./ CNA
