MP Erald Kapri spoke about the figure of the prominent intellectual Llazar (Zai) Fundo again in the Assembly, emphasizing that he is one of the originators and founders of the EU.

Kapri has stated that these figures should be honored and the crimes of communism should be condemned.

He said that Llazar Fundo was shot on the orders of Enver Hoxha during the war.

Kapri stated that the Parliament has failed with the communist past and this is one of the shames of society, that such figures are still not honored and are great wounds that do not heal.

"There are left-wing figures, extraordinary ones who have made an extraordinary contribution, but no one honors them, because Enver Hoxha killed and eliminated them."

Why doesn't the majority speak about a figure that I love very much. He is one of the founders of the left and even one of the originators of the EU, Llazar Fundo, who was shot on the direct orders of Enver Hoxha during the war.

Imagine he is one of the founders of the EU in the entire political project that was made in Ventotene prison.

But precisely because he was killed by Enver Hoxha, the left or the majority in Albania will not deal with such a figure but will deal with what the left has left, inherited from Enver Hoxha and beyond.

There are many figures we should honor. We have failed with the communist past and this is one of the shames of our society.

We did not give justice to those families, we did not give them the little money they deserved, but even today we are not clear on what we should do to close this great wound.
