The year 2023 has started with new records, in terms of the number of foreign visitors who have traveled to Albania.

The number of foreign visitors in February 2023 has increased by 54% compared to last February, while for the first two months of this year, over 686 thousand foreign visitors visited Albania, or 74% more than the same period last year 2022.

The figures were made public by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro.

"In February 2022, our country was visited by 200,997 foreign tourists, in February 2023 by 309,325, i.e. 54% more than last year. While in January-February 2022 it was visited by 395,234 and in January-February 2023 by 686,536 foreign tourists, 74% more than the same period last year", Minister Kumbaro announced.

The natural beauties, the archaeological and cultural values, the investments in infrastructure, tourism and the promotion that has been made to Albania in the international media, have met all the expectations of the sector in terms of numbers. The year 2022 was the most successful in terms of the number of foreign visitors, with 7.5 million./ CNA.al
