The Albanian government has today approved, among other things, the decision to designate the authorized authority for the implementation of the marking and traceability of medical cannabis in Albania.

Based on the VKM, the authorized company is the company "ALBTrace Co", sh.a.

DECISION ON THE DESIGNATION OF THE AUTHORITY AUTHORIZED TO IMPLEMENT MARKING AND TRACEABILITY.

"In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 5, Article 34, of Law No. 61/2023, "On the control of the cultivation and processing of the cannabis plant and the production of its by-products for medical and industrial purposes", upon the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED: The authorized authority for the implementation of marking and traceability, according to Law No. 61/2023, "On the control of the cultivation and processing of the cannabis plant and the production of its by-products for medical and industrial purposes", is the company "ALBTrace Co", sh.a.

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Cannabis Control Agency and the company “ALBTrace Co”, sh.a., are charged with the implementation of this decision. This decision shall enter into force upon publication in the “Official Gazette”, the decision states./CNA
