The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, shared what he called his 'new sentence' through a message from prison.

Meta says he has been banned from exercising physically for 14 days.

According to Meta, this measure against him was issued by the Disciplinary Committee, after he broke the regulation and did not receive permission to conduct a media communication in early July.

"Today I was notified of a new sentence apparently based on a "new" Regulation."

The lawyer of the IEPV “Jordan Misja” brought me to get acquainted with the new punishment, normally as it was written there to be taken “unanimously” by the Disciplinary Commission, to be banned from joint physical exercises for another 14 days. The argument was that I had violated, if I am not mistaken, point c of point ç of the Regulation where communication with the media was not allowed without special permission from the Director General of Prisons. For this, they referred to a communication via phone between my lawyer Kujtim Cakrani and journalist Toncica on July 2, 2025. When they sentenced me the first time, I told them that you are not punishing me for speaking after 8:00 PM, but for the fact that I responded to journalist Njuma.

No, they told me, it has nothing to do with this, but with the serious violation of the schedule by 20 minutes.

Those who left my sister and three children at the prison door for two weeks without seeing me, and who the third time when the four of them came, invented a rule that one had to stay outside because four were not allowed as was always the case, will now give me "special permission" to dismantle this entire monstrous criminal process fabricated with slander and false accusations for many years.
