Restaurant fire, owner speaks out: I leave it to justice

The owner of the burned restaurant in Theth, Aida Gjeçaj, has indicated that she was not at the inn at the time of the fire.

"I have no idea because I was in Tirana last night. When I was notified at 2 am that there was a fire at my property. The neighbors intervened but were unable to save anything. This was my property with solar panels. The fire department arrived late but they still did not allow the guesthouse part to catch fire and the tourists are fine," she said.

Gjeçaj doubts that the fire may have been intentional, although he does not suspect any names and appeals to justice to clarify the incident.

"The only thing that the experts have proven is that there was power when the restaurant caught fire, so it wasn't due to defects. I have no doubts, but I want to say that I haven't had any conflicts with anyone. I only have 5 rooms because I didn't want to build without permission."

This happened at a time when there is this action in Theth and it is a bad coincidence but I did not do anything illegal. The cost of its construction is about 150 thousand euros, the damages are material.

"Maybe you don't like it because it could be intentional, but I leave it to justice. Since we are a family connected to justice, I leave it to justice and the truth will come out sooner or later," the owner declared.
