Në ceremoninë e nisjes së punimeve ka qenë i pranishëm edhe kryebashkiaku i Tiranës, Erion Veliaj.
Sipas Veliajt, teatri i ri do të jetë një nga veprat më të bukur në rajonin tonë, ndërsa theksoi se për ndërtimin e tij janë dakrodësuar shumica e aktorëve dhe arkitektëve.
“Sot na duhet të kapim kohën e humbur. Do jetë vepra më e bukur e artit në Ballkanin Perëndimor. Kur e nisëm këtë debat ishin me opinione të ndryshme. Por sot kemi dakordësinë që Teatri do të jetë në tokën e vet. Sot kemi rënë dakord që Teatri do ndërtohet me para publike dhe jo me partneritet, publiko-privat”, është shprehur Veliaj./CNA.al
